An essential component of the final assembly shop is the sub-assembly line. To increase the efficiency of the entire vehicle, it pre-assembles the primary component assemblies, including the engine, instrument panel, doors, and wheels, before the main line. For the transport of materials and assemblies, conveyance, which is mostly roller-based, can be combined with AGVs.
The door line, wheel and tire line, seat line, instrument panel line, powertrain sub-assembly, and front and rear suspension sub-assembly are examples of common lines. In parallel with the main line, modules are pre-built, quality-checked at the module level, and supplied to the marriage station and main line on schedule. Additionally, working at specific sub-assembly stations enhances ergonomics and lowers error rates.
